Q: Is this Oil of Oregano an essential oil?
A: Our Oil of Oregano contains oregano essential oil made by steam distillation. The final product contains approximately 1 part oregano essential oil to 3 parts carrier oil. Oregano essential oil is considered GRAS by the FDA, but we recommend taking this diluted oil with water, as it is still a very concentrated oil.
Q: What’s the difference between this and the Oregano I can buy at the grocery store?
A: While many are familiar with the dried oregano you’d find in the spice aisle of the grocery store, or the fresh oregano in the produce section, Oil of Oregano is a little bit different! Oil of Oregano is made using the leaves and stems of Origanum vulgare, to create an essential oil, which is then added to a carrier oil.

A: Carvacrol is a phenolic monoterpenoid and main compound of Oregano. This terpene has many beneficial properties that may help the immune system and overall health.
