Our vegan Omega-3 Liquid Drops for Infants and Toddlers are derived from an ocean-friendly, wild strain of sustainably-grown micro-algae. Using a chemical-free extraction of omegas from the algae, the final result is a solvent-free and plant-based liquid omega!
These vegan, liquid Omega-3 Drops primarily contain DHA, or Docosahexaenoic acid. Some studies have concluded that DHA is optimal for normal neural and visual development in infants, and that providing your baby with adequate Omega-3 results in better brain growth and enhanced cognitive performance. These drops may be a great addition for your child’s diet, particularly since many U.S. toddlers consume well below the amounts of DHA & EPA recommended in other countries (the U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not have a recommended intake amount). Unlike other omegas, our Omega-3 drops don't have a fishy taste and may be perfect for picky eaters! Simply add the appropriate dosage to your baby or toddler’s favorite food or drink, or give them these liquid drops on their own. Support your child’s health by supplying these important fatty acids.

Per Serving (1 mL): 378 mg Algal Oil [208 mg Omega-3s: 200 mg DHA and 2 mg EPA]. Other Ingredients: Organic Olive Oil, Rosemary Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Sunflower Lecithin, Sunflower Oil, Mixed Tocopherols.
Suggested Use: This product was formulated for infants & toddlers, ages 0 to 3 years old. Shake well before use. Once daily, add up to 30 drops (approx. 2/3 dropper) to your child’s food or drink.

Q: What amount of Omega-3s are there per serving?
A: Each 1 mL serving contains 378 mg of Algal Oil, which contains 208 mg of Omega-3s, with a breakdown of 200 mg of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and 2 mg of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).
Q: What is your vegan Omega-3 source?
A: While many omega supplements use cod liver oil or another fishy source, our vegan Omega-3 Liquid Drops are sourced from Algal oil, which is derived from an ocean-friendly, wild strain of sustainably-grown micro-algae. Algal oil is an incredible source of DHA!
Q: How do I know what an appropriate dose is when there are no recommended daily values?
A: It is true that there are no FDA recommendations for daily intake of Omega-3s, which makes it hard to know what an appropriate dose might be! Recommendations from health organizations for daily intake vary from 500-700 mg Omega-3 for ages 0-3 years. Ultimately, in order to make the best health decisions possible for your little one, we recommend speaking with your pediatrician, physician, or healthcare professional to best determine what is best for your child.
Q: What is the purpose of the sunflower oil in this product?
A: The sunflower oil & sunflower lecithin in our Omega-3 Liquid Drops is used as a carrier for the antioxidants (Rosemary Extract, Vitamin C Palmitate, Mixed Tocopherols) which we add to the oil to stabilize the ingredient. This antioxidant blend (including the sunflower oil and lecithin) is added in such an amount that the actual amount of sunflower oil used is less than 1% of the total product. In other words, only a very small amount is used!

While I love most of your products, the marketing on this is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. I bought this because it says "no fishy smell" but what it doesn't state is that it is actually worse than a fishy smell. My 2year old spits it out everytime I try to give it to him even when masked in any other drink/smoothie. I just feel like I wasted money buying this. So dissatisfied with this one!
** An update: My previous review was a little harsh on this product. After being educated about why the smell in Omega 3's by the Mary Ruth Customer Care team, i realised it really isn't something they can control. The product is actually pretty good and since using it i have seen some improvement in my toddler's concentration and activities in general. He also somehow got used to the taste and now takes it WITHOUT being mixed with anything (literally a miracle!). Thank you guys so much for all your amazing products.
I have tried for a while now to get my baby used to the "fishy" taste (I know these don't contain fish, but they still smell strongly of the ocean), but she hates the taste. I tasted them myself and almy gagged, so I can see why. We will have to find another option.
I wanted my toddlers to like these, but they instantly spit them out and refused to try again. I had mixed it with the liquid vitamins. I tried juice as well with the same result. I thought “it couldn’t be that bad”, but just 1 drop on my tongue made me gag and almost vomit. Customer service was great though and quickly sent me a new product.
I started Mary Ruth organic vitamins a month ago and my 4 year old loves it so much. It’s easy to swallow and easy to put it in my one year old milk as well.
